Ana Jaks is an illustrator based in Bristol who is represented by JSR Agency. In June 2018, she won the New Talent Award in the Site Specific Category of the A0I World Illustration Awards and has worked with clients such as John Lewis, Nike, Bombay Safire and many more!

I came across her work due to the highly saturated, eye-catching colour scheme and cold shapes that she uses in her illustrations. From looking into her portfolio, a noticeable trend in her work is bright colour, figures and black outline. Her designs are very two dimensional and flat which makes her work seem very raw and minimal in some ways.

Ana Jaks has created some animated illustrations which more in some way, just slightly too. The way in which her animated work moves so simply, makes me believe that I could do something similar with my work. Even a small movement changes the way an illustration is perceived as she demonstrates, even so simply.

I think her work is so much fun! Although, in some designs I find myself rather overwhelmed with colour, pattern and subject matter, but maybe that is the way I am supposed to feel about some of her work.

I am a sucker for vivid colour, so of course I would love her work!
