Gabriella Mussurakis - Inspiration

Gabriella Mussurakis is an illustrator who graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2018. She is primarily based in London yet has worked with many well-known companies around the world, including LoveBox Festival and Adidas London.

Her designs are playful due to her vibrant colour scheme and interesting patterns. She provides depth in many of he designs and by adding texture she achieves this.

I find her viewpoint quite interesting as if makes me feel that I am within the illustration itself, whether that is due to leaves in the foreground or characters appearing close up to the eye.

From scanning through her portfolio, she provides a range of outcomes to briefs. For example her Red Bull Gaming Sphere work is completely different to her Visit Greece section within her portfolio. I found this particularly interesting as I assumed that her style would be very similar throughout her commissions as her work in Visit Greece is so stunning and playful, yet I suppose in some ways it is difficult to stick to your own style, especially if the brief suggests total contrast to your comfort zone.

Her work inspires me based upon the colour, texture and focal points.
