Welcome Meeting

Hey! Emily here! Just wanted to introduce myself in my very first blog post.

Lets start with a little bit about me. I am a Graphic Design student studying at Nottingham Trent University, heading into second year in late September. I have an interest in illustration, fashion and photography. I find that these three interests work simultaneously, whether that is for the insta feed or a new design project. Either way, I am a huge perfectionist. Yes, it is quite tedious really but I suppose that’s how it’s always been. It seems to work well with me, so I’m sticking to it.

The content for this blog will mainly be things that inspire and catch my eye. Whether that be designers work or objects found in daily life, those factors that I come across which bring an idea or interest to my thoughts. I intend to bring a mixture of professional work alongside designs found on social media, either way they will have some reason to appear in this blog. It will be an informal blog, where those can visit, enjoy and read on. For it is only my personal opinion and interests that form this blog it will be fully sincere.

I am creating this blog to document aspects of the world, design or not design, that call my name and invite me to explore it further. It will be interesting for others as well as myself to physically visualise what is going on in my head and behind the scenes of design work that is to come or has already been constructed. From another perspective, this blog could bring inspiration, which I know if I was in the reader’s position, I would find very beneficial. So if you look at it that way, it’s a win-win scenario. We all benefit!

Either way, I look forward to seeing how this goes and I hope you do too!
